Chef & Baker – the story so far!

Chef & Baker is a unique new offering from a long-established family firm, Country Valley Foods. Country Valley has been serving the catering industry for well over four decades, providing high quality meat, poultry and wholesale grocery products to customers throughout the North of England.

Country Valley moved into expanded and refurbished premises in Billingham early in 2016, effectively merging what had been separate catering butchers and wholesale divisions. That set creative thought juices flowing… if we can offer our customers pretty much anything they could need from a food point-of-view, wouldn’t it be great to be expand our offer and provide a full catering service including front and back of house equipment? Our shiny new head office building freed up another office on our Billingham site, and from there Chef & Baker was born.

We opened the doors of our showroom on October 3rd 2016, a unique environment that showcases the very best in cookware and tableware. Since then we’ve welcomed and inspired many trade visitors. The catering business does not work ‘standard’ office hours though and we quickly became aware of the need for customers to be able to access our entire range 24/7… hence!

We pride ourselves in our first-class service and will always go that ‘extra mile’ to make sure our customers are completely satisfied – if you can’t find what you want then the chances are we can source it for you or suggest an alternative that’s even better! Why not put us to the test?
